www.rodeoarcade.com/collections/evantubehdDuring our visit to Canada we got to check out Ripley's Aquarium of Canada a 135,000 square-foot family attraction with over 1.5 million gallons of water. They have both marine and freshwater habitats with sea life from all over the world.
Evan's favorite was the Dangerous Lagoon, were you get on a moving walkway that transports you through an underwater tunnel home to the aquarium's most fearsome-looking animals. Here, you can see sand tiger sharks, sandbar sharks, roughtail stinrays, green sawfish, and green sea turtles!
Jillian's favorite was Planet Jellies. Here, habitats of jellies surround you on all sides. Aquariums are backlit with colour-changing displays making it a brilliant sight to see. The exhibit features 5 species of jellyfish including the Pacific sea nettle, moon jelly, spotted lagoon jelly and the upside-down jelly.
MommyTube liked Rainbow Reef because of it's vibrant colors. There are a bunch of exotic sea life from the Indo-Pacific region including Picasso triggerfish, humbug dascyllus, emperor angelfish, pajama cardinalfish, and unicorn surgeonfish. The Reef also offers an interactive dive show every other hour.
DaddyTube liked Ray Bay, a 350,000 liter home to a bunch of cool stingrays from 3 distinct species. There are bonnethead sharks, crownose rays, southern stingrays and roughtail stingrays. There is a hands-on experience where visitors can get in the water with the rays!
You can also check out these other exhibits: Canadian Waters, Discovery Centre, Life Support Systems, and more!
It is a very cool aquarium and we definitely recommend checking it out if you're ever in the Toronto area!
