Here's a look behind the scenes of Day 1 of our New York Toy Fair adventure.
After getting a few hours of sleep (after our loooooong flight getting here), we wake up bright and early for the first day of the Toy Fair. This was our first time at the Toy Fair, so we didn't really know what to expect. We hit one booth after the other. Needless to say, around 3pm we were exhausted (and hungry). So we walked back to our hotel (about 1.2 miles away) for a little rest.
We had to check out Times Square at night and find a good place to eat. We heard that the Jekyll & Hyde Club was fun, so we decided to check it out. It was a pretty popular place and we wound up waiting outside in the freezing cold for 35 minutes. By the time we got in, our faces were numb and we were starving. It was an interesting place. The place is adorned with Spooky decor including a glass case with a variety of skulls.
The entertainment was "interesting". Definitely a unique experience. But I think the best part was trying to find the restrooms, as they were hidden behind a movable bookcase.
After eating, we head back out to Times Square and check out the World's Largest Toys "R" Us! But you'll have to stay tuned for PART 3 to see the shopping video!
