The EvanTubeHD crew few to Texas earlier this month to check out the NASCAR AAA 500 at the Texas Motor Speedway in Fort Worth. It was our first time at a live NASCAR event and we not disappointed!
There was so much cool stuff to see and do. First we got to check out the NASCAR garage and see all the pre-race preparations. It was interesting to see crews getting their stock cars ready and inspected. We head over to pit road and got a ride around the racetrack in a pace car. It reminded us of the Cars Radiator Springs ride at Disneyland's California Adventure, only much MUCH FASTER!!!
After that we got to meet and chat with David Ragan and his crew chief Jay Guy. They were very nice and taught us all about what goes on behind-the-scenes of a race. We got a close look at his race car and he gave us a tour of his hauler. It was really cool!
We still had some time before the race, so we got to see some cool things at the No Limits Wild Asphalt Circus. We got to meet the Lizard Man and saw the Cannonball Lady get shot out of canon. They also had a bunch of other cool sites like the World's Smallest Horse and World's Largest Rat! I even got my fortune told in the garage!
Then it was race time. Jillian got to meet Danica Patrick and her crew. And we got to see Dale Earnhardt Jr. and Jimmie Johnson as they made their way to their cars. We got to sit with Jay Guy and his crew and see the race from his perspective. The cars were fast and loud and it was very exciting.
