My SPANISH RIBBED NEWT (Pleurodeles Waltl) a.k.a. "Wolverine Newt"

Here is my pet newt, ZOOT, that I picked up at the Reptile Expo last month (youtu.be/4ccwrWs-aJY). He is a Spanish ribbed newt (also called Iberian ribbed newt). I call him the Wolverine Newt because he pokes his sharp ribs through his skin to defend himself from predators. Then the ribs retract and the holes heal up.
Newts are a type of salamander. And salamanders have the ability to regenerate their body parts.
He lives next to a praying mantis. Let us know if you want to see of video of that guy.
